Enhancing Education Through Technology (EETT)

Quicklinks The activities outlined in this grant will provide the opportunity for students to build a strong mathematics foundation through the use of a highly engaging, "Spatial Temporal Math" math software program, (ST Math). Additionally, students will demonstrate their understanding of math standards through the creation of podcasts and/or videocasts. The podcasts will be uploaded to our district website creating a library of standard based works accessible to other teachers, districts, and community members. Intense professional development and coaching focused on integrating the use of technology within the regular classroom program, will also be provided for staff throughout the duration of this grant period.

Funding from the EETT C grant will provide the following at designated school sites;
  1. Each participating school will receive a mobile computer lab, increasing computer access in the participating 4th, 5th, and 6th grade classrooms at Northwood, Brooktree, and Morrill
  2. Students in 4th, 5th, and 6th grade, will use a supplemental STMath computer math program two times a week for 45 minutes.
  3. For each grade level, intensive training will be provided to teachers on effectively implementing new technologies into the classroom.
