Measure A, on the November 2021 ballot, seeks to renew expiring Measure K parcel tax funding. If approved by voters, Measure A would not increase taxes, but simply renew funding at the existing rate of $79 per parcel, per year and raise approximately $1.8 million annually to retain quality teachers and protect core academic programs in District schools.
Measure A would also continue existing fiscal accountability protections and senior citizen homeowners, age 65 and over, can apply for an exemption for their primary residence. If you already receive an exemption from the cost of Measure K, you will not need to reapply.
