Definitions:

No person shall, on the basis of sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any academic, extracurricular, research, or other program or activity operated by the District. Ed Code 230

No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance. California Education Code 221.8

Each school site is responsible for investigating all claims of sexual harassment. However, if the District receives a Title IX Complaint about the underlying harassment or about a school’s failure to appropriately respond, the District’s Title IX officer is under a duty to investigate the complaint.
