The Berryessa Technology Extravaganza (B Tech E) is an annual Saturday professional development day hosted by the Technology Services department. The event features a keynote, breakout sessions, vendor tables, breakfast, lunch, and door prizes. Our vendor sponsors help support the event by providing the meals, door prizes, attendee gifts (swag), and tables showing off their latest technology items.

The third-annual B Tech E will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2019, at Brooktree Elementary School, 1781 Olivetree Dr., San Jose, CA 95131. This year, we're inviting six of our neighboring school districts (Alum Rock Union, Evergreen, Franklin-McKinley, Mount Pleasant, Oak Grove, and Orchard) to join us for the day. The event will last from 8:00am until 1:30pm. The day's schedule will be:

The second-annual B Tech E was held March 9, 2019 at Majestic Way Elementary School at 1855 Majestic Way, San Jose, CA 95132. The event lasted from 8:00am until 1:30pm. The schedule for the day was:

Keynote: 
Joe Marquez is a leader in technology and K-12 Educational Strategist for CDW-G. His innovating spirit, outgoing attitude, and outrageous personality has earned him the coveted titles of Certified Google Innovator, Certified Google Trainer, Common Sense Ambassador, Apple Teacher, and Microsoft Innovative Educator. Joe is an Adjunct Professor for the Fresno Pacific University Educational Technology Master's Program and guest instructor for the Fresno State Teacher Track Academy and Teachers Pathway T.A.C.O.S (Technology, Aerospace, and Collaboration Opportunities in STEM) Summer Institute. Using Google Cultural Institute, StreetView, and YouTube, these lessons will allow students to practice high-level cognitive skills and consider the world from different perspectives.

Bob Elliott, Nasco Education STEMFUSE: Digital STEM Curriculum for the 21st Century Experience project-based learning using topic-drive challenges, coding game activities, and 3D modeling projects. Challenges will engage students to understand how STEM is tied to the content they're learning in the classroom.
