The LAN Upgrade Phase I project provided a major upgrade to the district's network infrastructure, including:
  • Upgrading the network connection speed of the district office and each school to 1Gbps.
  • Replacing all Network Switches with Brocade equipment capable of supporting 10Gbps.
  • Installing 450 Cisco Meraki Wireless Access Points to provide wireless coverage throughout the district.
  • Upgrading fiber optic cable used to connect each school building to the network.
  • Completely recabled the District Office, Cherrywood, Morrill Middle and Sierramont Middle School with CAT 6a cable, rated for 10Gbps connections.
2016 Summer - Phase II

2016 Summer - Phase II

The LAN Upgrade Phase II project was divided into 4 stages. This portion of the project includes completely replacing network cable at the remainder of the district's schools. During the first stage of this project, during the summer of 2016, the following sites were recabled with CAT 6a cable.
  • Majestic Way
  • Piedmont Middle
  • Summerdale
  • Toyon
  • Laneview (partially)
    • In order to maximize the work accomplished during the summer, a portion of Laneview was recabled.
    • The remainder will be completed during the February 2017 and April 2017 breaks.
